Marcellaz

Marcellaz en Faucigny is a small village at the foot of the Môle mountain in the Haute Savoie department.

In this dynamic, fast-growing village, events take place throughout the year, including the fête de la musique and vide grenier organized by the comité des fêtes; the cross-country ski race organized by the amis de l'école; writing workshops organized by the Idélire library network; and rock, folk and apéro jazz concerts in the village café. The charming, spacious village square, with its granary, pond and playground, is popular with all, and is surrounded by well-known shops such as a bakery, butcher's and bistro. The commune's six farms represent a herd of 600 cattle, market gardening and goat cheese production. There are also several hiking trails in the surrounding area. On the Balcons des Grands Près, you can discover the natural riches of the area around Saint-Jean de Tholome, Peillonnex, Marcellaz and Faucigny on foot, mountain bike or horseback.
